Welcome, Guest

Big Sur Bohemian Club

We are an earth friendly club based around a single princlple which is reflected in our motto:

"Thanks for everything, I have no complaints whatsoever."

Four years ago, we started the Club by printing our motto on one side of a business card and Big Sur Bohemian Club on the other.  We passed these cards out to our friends and that's how we got started.  Feel free to do the same with your friends.

We are not associated with the famous Bohemian Club located in San Francisco.  We are open to everybody and not isolated through elitism.

Here are a few reasons we chose  "Thanks for everything...I have no complaints whatsoever" as our motto:

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

HOW TO JOIN THE BIG SUR BOHEMIAN CLUB

The Big Sur Bohemian Club is pretty simple to join.  Just print up a few business sized cards on your computer with  "Thanks for everything....I have no complaints whatsoever" on one side and "Big Sur Bohemian Club" or simply "The CLUB" on the other side.  If you like, you can put this blog address on the cards as well.  Keep a "Club" card in your wallet for an occasional reminder and pass a few cards out to your friends.

I was surprised by the results when I gave my accountant one of these cards two years ago.  He shared the card with everybody in his accounting firm.  While visiting his office last year, several of his employees came over to me and thanked me for starting "The Club".

I would be interested in hearing your results.

That's it. Welcome to the CLUB.
