Block buster size audience for 11th Hour at Theatr Harlech

That title sounds good but first you have to understand that twenty people are the average size of an audience in this remote little town where not many people attend cinemas.  So thirty five was a triumph we feel and the block buster comment was made  by Claire, the theatr manager.  She was delighted with the response.

The audience consisted of people from ten to eighty.  Our neighbors and wonderful welsh teacher amongst them but several people who had traveled distance and one class of environmental students who were on a course.  The film was VERY well received and much discussion followed.  Finally they turned the lights out on us else we may still be there discussing the issues.  Am sure these discussions will continue around our community and hopefully seeds have been sown for the changes we need to make

We are so glad we made the effort to bring 11th Hour to our town.  We have never done anything like it before but we are so grateful to the people at Earthaction and Warners U.K. who helped us do this.  Especially Claire at the theatre who had great enthusiasm for doing it in the end.  We really believe in this film and wish we could find a way for the world to watch it.

Theatr Harlech, the rather futuristic theatr we have on our ancient town.  Unfortunately not very environmentally designed but great location

Discussion after the film

The good news is that the film will be shown next week in another town near to us and there are still many people interested in seeing it even if they couldn't make our showing last night. Hopefully they will make the effort to see it next week.
