Give the Gift of GREEN
This past holiday season I started giving the ‘Gift of Green,’ and I don’t mean this green…$$$$.
I bought friends, family, and neighbors reusable grocery bags and stuffed them with earth friendly cleaning products, household goods, beauty & bath products, packages of compact fluorescent light bulbs, and the latest book on green living.Plus, anyone who never saw “An Inconvenient Truth” received the DVD, and those that saw the film received a copy of the book.
My husband and I are in real estate and we continued this trend with our clients. We started including as part of our house warming gift to them the same reusable grocery bags filled with earth friendly household goods and cleaning products, plus things like low flow shower heads, natural beeswax candles, and clocks made from bicycle parts.
Our objective in giving eco-friendly gifts and books is to educate them on products that are healthier for them, and for the planet. Our hope is that they continue to use them forever, and encourage others to do the same.
