BRING THE FILM TO YOUR LOCAL MOVIE THEATER (USA)
Thank you for contacting us regarding your desire to bring The 11th Hour to your community and use it as a tool to educate others. Screenings are a powerful way to educate and inspire community members to become more involved in building a more sustainable world!
If you would like
to organize a screening in your local movie theater using a 35mm print,
the thing to do is to have the theater manager or buyer get in touch
with Marilee Womack at Warner Brothers, who handles all requests for
screenings in theaters. She will be able provide information about
the licensing fee, availability of the print and shipping costs. Her
contact info is:
Marilee.Womack@warnerbros.com
phone: 818-379-1823
fax: 818-986-7565
She asks that all requests be faxed to her at the number listed above. The manager/buyer at the movie theater should be familiar with the process of requesting prints from Warner Bros. If you plan to screen a DVD of the film at a movie theater you should still have the theater manager contact Marilee to find out about the licensing fees involved.
Please know that if it were up to us we would love to share The 11th Hour for public screenings free of charge since the purpose of the film is to bring awareness about the environmental crises of our time and to inspire action. However, Warner Brothers is the distributor and as such we are bound by the procedures and protocol set before us. We sincerely hope that you will still chose to move forward in planning a screening of The 11th Hour for your community.
You may also want to consider organizing a Q & A with your local environmental leaders to follow the screening. A panel discussion and Q & A adds tremendously to the overall experience of the audience and gives them an opportunity to ask questions and find out how they can become active in their own community.
Thanks again for
your interest in sharing the message of the film with your community.
Our goal is to continue to build momentum for positive action through
the screening of the film and our online community at www.11thhouraction.com!
