I'm making a natural garden (with native savage plants and flowers, bio vegetables), build "nests" for animals and insects.
I would like to become a nature guide to show its beauty to children and adults as well as they will also desire to preserve it before...perhaps the end of mankind if nothing is soon done.

Description: Kinkaid Marina is located on beautiful Kinkaid Lake in Southern Illinois. The lake is situated comfortably within the boundaries of the Shawnee National Forest, the lake is a haven for nature-lovers, conservationist, and most importantly, wildlife. "The Marina" is the only privately owned property on the lake. Until now, they haven't been very environmentally friendly, but we're working on it. There are many recreational fishing clubs that volunteer regularly to clean-up the lake, and they do a wonderful job. The plan is to start with a recycling program. Then we'll move on to energy-efficiency. There is a lot that can be done here, and if there are any suggestions, please let me know so I can pass them on to the Marina's owner. GREEN THE MARINA!!! Description: There is an AWESOME Neighborhood CO-OP in Carbondale. They purchased $71,000 worth of goods from LOCAL farmers in 2007, and they have bigger plans for 2008. They sell a plethora of organic goods and lots of supplies (nutritional, educational, and otherwise) for those of us who have choosen a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. Co-Op shoppers are rewarded with charity monies (wooden nickels) when they bring their re-usable grocery bags. The Co-Op encourages active community participation with regular events open to everyone, and every shopper is invited to become an owner by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location(s)

Description: I am going back to my country in July and will begin resonating and spreading the words and facts illustrated in the 11th Hour. My friend and I want to start a campaign that helps raise awareness on environmental crises among the youth in Thailand. But first, we plan to host a radio show, an independent medium that not only will allow us to speak out about Our World and engage young audience to open discourses, we will also play music from around the world as we believe that although we all speak different languages in different countries, but the only means that can connect us together and break those boundaries is indeed 'music.' My parents and I also have agreed to go hybrid and begin planting massive amount of trees in our estates. Fortunately, my father is both a real estate developer and a tree expert/gardener. He has spent his last 7-8 years learning about trees and plants on his own. Now he plans to quit his business and dedicate most of our empty lands for non-commercial plantation. You should have seen my house in Bangkok. But funny thing is you probably would not be able to see it because of the jungle my father has turned our house into. Beside my career plan (which I suggested earlier), I can assure you now that our family is very aware and always ready to support our shared goal toward sustainability and "true' quality of life. Thank You. Location(s)
Hello all!
Welcome to my first blogging experience on here.
I absolutely love the idea of going green, too bad it took me this long to feel this way. I have started recycling through my trash service and it is only about six dollars more every three months. I didn't even realize this was an option until I started calling around! I'm sure, if this option is available in Wichita, Kansas, then recycling through your trash service might be an even greater possibility. The only worry that I express with this option? I'm not sure that it is actually going into a recycle center. I know that we do have a large company (Weyerhauser Recycling) who recycles just about anything you can think of; soooo possibly my trash service (Lies Trash) is sort of a middle men for them. I hope!
Next on my agenda, building a community green house. I want this so badly...I can smell the fresh manure! I really don't know how to go about this zany idea. Do I look for investors? I imagine that Most of the people that I live around are in the same financial state that I'm in: Paycheck to paycheck or worse, so what's a girl to do?
Another "green" project that I'm working on is remodeling my small house. Why OH Why is building green SOOO expensive!? I have one of the smallest, two bedroom houses on the planet (well, okay...not that small) and I have been pricing "alternative" energy sources and I'm blown away. How is a limited budget supposed to convert, especially since the time is NOW? The house is not livable right now, we have to gut the bathroom, replace the windows, install a new heating and cooling unit, and place a fence around the property (dogs, yo). I would like to go as green as possible or no, I take that back...I want to go COMPLETELY green! Would love to save the planet and my budget from another cold winter or flippin crazy "smokin" hot summer. I have large leafed trees that grow in the front of the house, so that saves a bit of energy for cooling; but I would really love to be able to cut out so much more. Who do I have to coerce out of a cool million for these projects? HMMMM? Could that be you reader? Would you like to fork over a cool mil. so that I can live green. I know you worked for your dollars, or maybe you didn't and you feel like a King and just Want...no NEED to throw around some big cash. I propose that if you threw that money my way, I would put it to GREAT use. I could even get off my lazy arse and take before and after photos...proving my vow of selfish good. :) Yea, well a girl has to try...right?
Take care all who read this and happy green evolving!

Description: From my home to my work, increasing awareness to my friends to go green and watch the 11th hour and surf the website is my first priority. I will place the URL in our high school website and email them. Then in every actions I take I must consider first the environment. I am now encouraged with my conscience to buy goods to local farmers than regular grocery stores. At home increase conservation awareness to the family. I have plan to buy a bike for my transporatation to work. Location(s)

If any of you have ever pondered over the question “paper or
plastic?” then here is an informative interactive site on MSNBC which tackles
the grocery bag predicament. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23358591/
The site includes info on the resources used, recycling, current laws, and a
way to calculate your impact.
There is of course, the third option, the reusable bag. You
can find these almost anywhere now and they are not too expensive. I got mine
for just $1 each. There are benefits of getting the paper or plastic options as
well, if you reuse the bags for other purposes such as for trash, recycling,
lunches, or even for your next grocery store visit. My local grocery store, Ralphs,
offers discounts for all three types of bags: $0.10 each for reusable, $0.05
each for paper, and $0.03 each for plastic. Check your local grocery stores to
see if they offer any of the same benefits. If you do get paper or plastic
though, make sure they eventually end up in the recycling bin!
Hope this helps!
