Pure

The Message is Clear in the 11th Hour, Home and many other wonderful text and Movies.

Act now or suffer the consequence.
After listening to a great and very conscious individuals, I realized that passion is the key,
the sum of their message is inner change and self correctness is the start.
Without that simple change will not be any improvements.

It is funny, I always thought that earth is part of a living thing. and for a living thing to exist it needs to be govern and protect its self.
there are many diseases that harm Humans and other microbes that evolved to protect the host. the question is "What Are We"
a microbe that harm, it does it not knowing that is it a microbe, it just does, from body to body it jumps around looking for a new host to concur.
Some Microbes has evolved to protect its host, it knows without consciousness that it depends on it.

Imagine that we are the microbe that does not realize that we are the destructive ones.
whether we know it or not we have this great urge to leave earth to other planets thinking that we are bettering our self.
we don’t know any better.

The Human definition of the word Pure is "free from anything that taints, impairs, infects, perfect; faultless.; clear pure water or air"
Humans have felt, implemented, created and decided to use a word "Pure" in their own relative daily living.
My definition of pure is simply "a non Human contamination or influence"
The elements that we think we know are pure. flawless is the Sun, Perfect is our universe.

Maybe Earth's only defense or immune  system has always been to shed its self from life by way of Ice Age. So are we Going to an Ice Age?

Where do we go from here? How can we shed the scum of our greed from our heart and clean our self from the claws of injustice.
The future of Earth is up to the minds that understand what life IS.
What is life? Are we ready NOW to evolve and protect our host.

It will take years to change, I think the Gate has Opened to the wonderful thinking,
The 11th Hour and others are few steps to Change.

Best Regards
Sam Chamas

WOW, What a powerful piece of work, the 11th Hour is! I am truly humbled, sad, worried, unsure, but also happily optimistic. It truly makes one process what the hell is going on and how one small voice can make a difference, before it really is too late. How I can make a difference.

Being a newbee here ,any advice is truly appreciated.

My secret shame

I'm not really into blogging. I mean who really reads these things.  I guess why I feel it is safe to say:

"My name is Erica and I'm eco-obsessive compulsive."

It has been my secret shame for quite some time (except for my roommates who were repeatedly harassed in to recycling everything)

I'm ashamed to admit that it took me a few months to get around to watching the 11th hour. I was impressed when I bought it because it actually came in recyclable packaging.  I avoided the movie because I was afraid of feeling depressed and helpless as I watched the images and absorbed the harsh reality (the inconvenient truth, as it were) and as a single parent working in the automotive field I was mostly concerned with feeding my children and caring for those around me.  I didn't think I could make a change on a global scale.  So I put watching this on my to do list and tryed to save the world as best I could, tightening faucets and turning off lights. I hate to admit to the garbage picking that went on...  I still can't put ANYTHING in the garbage. I will donate any useless thing to charity rather than add to the landfills,  I just can't.

As I said I am, for the time being, an auto worker.  When I first started my job people were talking about how Kyoto was just being ratified in Canada.  I was happy but I knew right then that it was going to cost me my job one day. I knew at that point I would be getting ready to do something else and that the big 3 would still be producing these shiny cancer causing dinosaurs.

So the day is here and I'm still not sure what to do. I was already frightened about the future so why not get right into it and face it all at once.  The thing is that I wasn't afraid after I watched it.  I'm hopeful!  I think it is possible that I can make a change, even if I still don't know how.  I don't even know how much longer I will be working, but I know that I will be leaving my polluted little town and going out west and from there I will meet like minded people...

My biggest passion at the moment is solar energy, maybe electric vehicles.  I bit my tongue at a child's birthday party last weekend when handed a bottle of water... there is a time and a place. Wind turbines get me all warm and gooey inside. :)

I was also thinking that there should be a movie that shows the possibility for the future. Like what a big city like LA would be with cleaner cars and solar panels (they also have waves that could power much of the city and surrounding areas)

With all the disaster movies out there people will feel helpless and keep these negative images in there heads. (the media is NO HELP in that area) we need a movie that shows possibility (Hopefully we can slip it past the oil companies and their lap dog politicians)  I know that http://www.thevenusproject.com/introResearch.php are working on a movie kind of like I have in mind.  The ideas expressed there are great for the most part but I don't know how soon something like that would be possible AND I don't think we should just give up on the old cities that we already have. We do need to start making what we have work more efficiently a.s.a.p., then we can switch over from there and preserve some of the more stunning pieces of architecture and historic sites as we go.

these are just some of my thoughts.  I don't know what good I've done expressing them but I intend to keep doing it until I figure out what to do next :) ec

Channel 4 programme / Making A Difference / Killing Our Survival

I just watched the film on channel 4 (uk ) and I was really pleased to see people trying hard to unite people in making a difference to our planet which we are killing more and more everyday . Its good to see people heightening the public's awareness of the seriousness of global warming and the use of fossil fuels .

Anything that gives off black smoke can't be a good thing . I would like to see solar energy , hydro energy , and wind turbines used a lot more in the very near / almost immediate future .

I would also like to see a lot of the worlds animals rescued . One guy on the programme mentioned that a lot of the keys to our survival are within the animals on our planet which are endangered . I'm a strong believer in this . I believe that a lot of cures for diseases and viruses are within the animals on our planet and if those animals are dying then so are natural cures . This also applies to forests and green land . A lot of cures for fatal diseases and viruses come from natural plants and if man is killing those plants and forestry then he is also killing his natural resources for survival .

I was really please to watch channel 4 tonight .   John ( eternaltrooper )            http://www.eternaltrooper.net/

My 11th Hour Earth Day Experience

Yesterday was Earth Day and I had no plans to do anything special. But my day turned out to be very extra special because I am happy to report that I was one of the highest bidders in the Global Green USA eBay Auction. I will soon be the proud owner of The 11th Hour Poster and DVD signed by Leonardo DiCaprio.

I must have had beginner's luck, or the stars were just aligned in my favor yesterday, because I have never been involved in any auction with eBay or have been part of any other online auction. I placed only one bid, on just one item early yesterday, and I won.

I am actually shocked that I was the highest bidder. I really thought someone would swoop in during the last few hours and out bid me like was done on so many of the other items. Compared to what the other items sold for, I feel I got the autographed 11th Hour poster & DVD for a real bargain price.

Since I got such a low bargain price, can someone please tell me what I can donate to Global Green in order to have Leo personally deliver the poster & dvd to me at my home? Can I create my own Meet & Greet Leo Experience Package?  Of course I would want it be a very eco-friendly experience package.

Seriously, I was thrilled to be part of this one-of-a-kind non-profit green charity auction to help raise funds for Global Green's National Green Schools and Climate Solutions initiatives. It was wonderful to see how many items Leonardo generously offered up for the auction, and how successful the auction was in raising needed funds in these tough economic times. This auction was also instrumental in raising awareness for the need to take action on climate change.

I will post a picture of my new autographed 11th Hour poster once I get it framed and put up on my wall in my home office.

I am sending all my gratitude and appreciation to Leonardo and everyone at Global Green...because of all of you; I had a very extra special Earth Day.

THANK YOU!
