As part of UCLA’s Focus the Nation event on Thursday, Jan. 31 (www.focusthenation.org), a couple of students organized to bring Leondaro diCaprios’ “The 11th Hour” to campus to culiminate the day of environmental panels, seminars and discussions. The students represented the UCLA Chancellor’s Sustainability Sub-Committee as well as the large, environmental student group E3-Ecology, Economy, Equity.
The film was screened in a large ballroom, and brought about 500 students to see the film. The highlight of the night was the panel discussion following the film, with co-directors Leila Conners-Petersen and Nadia Conners, as well as Matt Petersen (president of Global Green USA), Wallce J Nichols (head research scientist for the Ocean Conservancy) and Andy Lipkis (founder and president of Tree People.) It was a great experience for the students to ask experts featured in the film their personal questions involving how to get jobs in the environmental field, how the environment fits into politics, and how to use purchasing power responsibly.
Overall, it was a great event...hopefully the solutions mentioned in the film can translate into more students taking action on campus and beyond!

BREAKTHROUGH ENERGY TECHNOLOGY AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
What does a breakthrough technology in energy mean to us individually? If we are honest with ourselves we know that we want answers and solutions without having to give up our current lifestyles. Most people are happy with their conveniences and truly want to keep their comfortable work, home, and travel luxuries which have been so hard won. Our pastimes, comforts, and toys are a way of life and not easily changed.
The solution lies not in what we are willing to give up in our lives to protect our current standard of living, but in how we can sustain a healthy and prosperous way of life, with a clean and safe energy source, that is both in harmony with our existence and environmentally friendly.
Cutting back on our energy needs certainly helps, but it is not the end-all solution. As
the population of the world rapidly expands so too will the needs for housing, energy,
and commerce. We need a breakthrough energy source which can allow us our
indulgences and not do any damage to the planet or environment. We need an energy
source which will allow us to inhabit this planet in a way that is evolving towards new
technologies and an understanding of the world in which we live.
Einstein said, "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is
the source of all true art and science.
He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand
rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed." To touch the mysterious with
wonder we need to look at three things in parity; these three things are the biological,
geological, and cosmological.

Global warming, as a topic, is certainly of tremendous interest and an eye-opener to
all of us personally, as well as globally. We wonder how our ingenuity and prosperity
can continue in the face of this real threat. We cannot continue to use fossil fuels
and we now know that this is not only a dead-end street but a major factor in our
environmental challenges.
WHERE DO WE TURN TO KEEP OUR WAY OF LIFE INTACT?
Our solution is based solely on harmony and balance which is built into the structural
matrix. It is a solution which can take us to outer space and allow us to view the
cosmological harmony for ourselves. It is a solution which has the potential for
physical healing, as well as a myriad of other products which will be of benefit to
mankind globally. The harmonious ingredients which are universally plentiful and the
harmonious mixing of those ingredients promises us that we will not need to alter our
lifestyles in any appreciable way.
We can gently replace the fossil fuels used today with this new energy and it can be
used in every area of our lives. It can be used to heat and power our homes. We can
get to the point that our vehicles will no longer need combustion engines or any fuel
whatsoever. We will be able to manufacture all the wonderful products which are
available today with factories powered by G.E.M. technology and provide a powerful
solution to the entire transportation system without emissions or harm to our planet.
The process of testing our harmonically balanced
formula is underway. After testing is complete, the
next step is validation by independent testers. Once
these milestones are acheived, we will begin the
process of the end-user designs to complete our final
patent. The engineering of these products will be
assigned to various areas of commerce.
